Research on the Driver′s Eye Movements in Different Roads

Abstract：In order to study the drivers'visual changes in the different road conditions,the SMI iView XTM RED was used to meas-ure eye movements.With virtual driving software,the participants drove on the different roads(city,village and high speed road)in sunny,rainy and night environment,the data about fixation duration,fixation times,regressive times and hot maps were presented and analyzed.The results show that the worse the light is,the more drivers'fixation times and regressive times are;the faster the speed is, the narrower the scope is.We provide the experimental basis for studying the rules of eye movements and drivers'driving safety under different environmental conditions.
