Advances in the Aplication of Heparin in Tissue Engineering

Abstract：With tissue engineering developing rapidly,the application of heparin in tissue engineering has aroused more and more concern.As a component of tissue engineering scaffold,heparin and its derivatives not only give anticoagulant and antithrombotic prop-erties,but also improve biocompatibility of scaffold and adhesion,proliferation and differentiation of seed cells.In addition,it also acts as reservoir and sustained release vehicle for cytokines,which further promotes proliferation and differentiation of seed cells,and main-tains differentiated cell phenotypes in the process of tissue construction,which creates necessary conditions for tissue regeneration.In this paper,research progresses of heparin applying to tissue engineering fields of vascular,liver,nerve,skin ,bone and cartilage are reviewed.
