An Assay for Measuring α-Gal Epitope Expression on Xenotransplantation

Abstract：The expression of α-Gal epitope on pericardium,skin and bone were 1.076 ±0.2045 U/mg,3.247 ±0.2370 U/mg and 14.53 ±0.3048U/mg,respectively with statistically differences between groups (P<0.05).The expression ofα-Gal epitope on fresh bone,intermediate product and finished product were 14.53 ±0.3048 U/mg,11.62 ±1.065 U/mg and 1.546 ±0.3857 U/mg, with statistically differences between groups (P<0.05).ELISA assay for measuringα-Gal epitope expression is useful for the evalu-ation of xenotransplantation.
