The Effect of Excessive Background Parallax from 3D Film based on P300 on Human Discomfort

Abstract：In order to explore whether the excessive background parallax (EBP)can lead to human discomfort,20 volunteers par-ticipated in this P300 ERP (Event -Related Potential)experiment.They were asked to watch the 3D segment with EBP firstly and then watch the segment without EBP.The result showed that P300 amplitude that people watched the 3D segment with EBP was a little higher than the 3D segment without EBP.However,there was no change in delay time.Combined with the subjective evaluation of 20 volunteers,it can be concluded that the short -time EBP can not lead to the human discomfort.
