Installation and Design of Vibration Isolator for 16V240ZC Generator Set on Dredger
Abstract：The electric shaft generator set used in the cutter suction dredger needs to meet the working situation that boats incline or swing during operating. When the boat inclines longitudinally 5 °, 15 ° transversely, or roll longitudinally 7.5°, or transversely 22.5 °, the generator set should operate normally. The generator set consists of a common base, a high elastic coupling and a diesel engine and is welded directly in the cabin floor. In such case, many problems might happen. In this paper, the isolator is used to connect each two parts. Selection of vibration should be considered these factors like generator set size, capacity, isolation effect factors and others. The isolator is mounted between the common base and the cabin floor . The vibration model and its layout depends on the vibration calculation. The isolator ensures that the generator set meets the working require- ments and operates stably.
