The Study of Diesel Engine Connecting Rod Fatigue Property
Abstract：The fatigue property of an engine connecting rod was studied with CAE and fatigue test. With respect to its tension, the property of the structural stress distribution of the connecting rod is calculated with FEM according to working conditions. The severe ＇fatigue area was found. Then, the relationship between the load shared by the small and big ends of the connecting rod is obtained after the tense and fatigue test according to the requirement for strength. Finally, this paper analyzes the fatigue fracture of the connecting rod.
