Analysis on Scuffing of Engine Cylinder Bore with Finite Element Method
Abstract：Scuffing of engine cylinder bore is a common fault,which has a great influence on the performance of engines.This paper mainly introduces a typical fault of scuffing of cylinder bore,which is mainly caused by the structural difference between the piston chamber and piston original design due to the piston moulds.This paper gives an analysis of the effect of the skirt deformation extent caused by the difference when the piston is running and analyzes and solves the scuffing fault by Finite Element Method.
