Abstract:This study provides a basis for effective bird strike prevention by offering a comprehensive understanding of avian community structure, spatiotemporal distribution characteristics in the airport. From August 2023 to July 2024,bird diversity in six habitat types within Yanan Nanniwan Airport's flight zone and 6 km airspace clearance area was investigated using line transect and point transect methods, documenting 61 avian species across 13 orders and 31 families. This included 13 National Grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ Protected Species, with 30 residents,21 summer migrants,5 winter migrants, and 5 passage migrants.Phylogenetic distribution revealed 11 Oriental Realm species,36 Palearctic Realm species, and 14 cosmopolitan species.Temporal analysis indicated peak Shannon-Wiener diversity in summer(2.05)and trough in winter(1.39).Spatially,woodland habitats exhibited the highest diversity(2.66),while agricultural land showed the lowest(0.93),with annual average flight altitude concentrated below 30 m AGL.Based on these findings, seasonal target bird species for prevention, priority areas for bird strike mitigation, and tailored intervention strategies were systematically analyzed and proposed. This study provides a scientific basis for the prevention of bird strikes at airports.
