Abstract:In order to study the effects of different stand types on soil organic carbon pools and stability in coastal saline-alkali area, taking three plantations(Fraxinus velutina(F),Pyrus betulifolia(P),Tamarix chinensis(T))in the Yellow River Delta as research objects and the adjacent bare land(CK)as comparison, the effects of different stand types on soil organic carbon(SOC),soil organic carbon components(dissolved organic carbon(DOC),easily oxidizable organic carbon(EOC),microbial biomass carbon(MBC),resistant organic carbon(ROC))and carbon pool management indicators(CPMI)were studied. The results showed that:Compared with CK,plantations of different stand types could significantly increase the SOC content,SOC storage and its components(P<0.05),and the SOC content,SOC storage and its components decreased gradually with the increase of soil depth, presenting obvious surface aggregation. The order of SOC content,SOC storage and its components were all F>T>P>CK in the layers of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm.In the layer of 40-60 cm,the order of SOC content,SOC storage,DOC and ROC were F>T>P>CK,while the order of EOC and MBC were T>F>P>CK.The CPMI of plantations of different stand types were significantly higher than that of CK(P<0.05),and showed an order of F>T>P>CK in the layers of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm,while T>F>P>CK in the layer of 40-60 cm.The analysis of variance showed that soil depth, stand type, and their interaction had extremely significant effects on SOC and SOC components(P<0.01).except that the interaction between soil depth and stand type had a significant effect on EOC.Stand type and the interaction between soil depth and stand type had extremely significant effects on CPMI(P<0.01).The correlation analysis showed that there were extremely significant positive correlations between SOC and each component of SOC(P<0.01).In conclusion, artificial afforestation can improve the sequestration capacity of soil organic carbon in coastal saline-alkali areas, and enhance the stability of the soil carbon pool.
