Abstract:In the context of global climate warming, the intensity and duration of high-temperature weather have significantly increased, posing greater stress on the growth of urban trees. The study of heat tolerance in heat-sensitive tree species is a critical issue to address in response to climate change. This paper, based on a review of the current research on heat tolerance in heat-sensitive tree species, analyzes the survival pressures these species face under climate change. It investigates the effects of high-temperature conditions on plant morphology, leaf structure, physiological functions, and growth processes. The paper outlines various methods for assessing plant heat tolerance, including natural high-temperature screening in the field, artificial high-temperature stress simulation, and laboratory physiological and biochemical indicator testing.Based on these findings,an evaluation index system for the heat tolerance of heat-sensitive tree species is proposed, and the limitations in existing research and future directions are discussed.
