New Discovery:Hyphantria cunea can Complete Four Generations Per Year in Shandong Region

Abstract：It has been confirmed for the first time that the Hyphantria cunea can complete four generations per year in Shanghe and Feixian,Shandong Province.with monitoring and investigation methods such as fixed-point light trapping,sex pheromone trapping,and artificial collection.The completion rate of the 4th generation of larvae in Shanghe County is approximately 5%～10%in 2024.We clarified that the 3rd generation adults occur in 21st September to 11th November,mostly begin to occur in late September,mostly ends in early or mid-October,the flying peaks occur on 8th October.We clarified that the 4th generation larvae begin to occur in late September or early October,end in late November or early December.Persistent high temperature is the decisive factor to complete four generations.
