Preservation Effect of Nano-silver Pretreatments on Cut Flowers of Itoh hybrid'Bartzella'

Abstract：In order to prolong the vase life and improve the quality of Itoh hybrid'Bartzella'cut flowers,this study used nano-silver(NS)with concentrations of 10 ppm,20 ppm and 30 ppm as pretreatment solutions for 2h,4h and 6h respectively,and then added it to the vase preservation solution(distilled water+20g/L sucrose)for vase observation.The effects of NS on vase life,flower diameter,relative fresh weight and relative water absorption of'Bartzella'cut flowers were analyzed,and the pretreatment solution formula with the best preservation effect was selected.The results showed that:20 ppm NS treatment for 6h had the best fresh-keeping effect,and compared with the control,it could prolong the vase life by 30.77％,increase the flower diameter by 8.99％,and significantly improve the relative fresh weight and relative water absorption of cut flowers.Therefore,it can significantly improve the vase life and cut flower quality of'Bartzella',and can be used as postharvest fresh-keeping pretreatment solution for'Bartzella'cut flowers.
