Abstract：This article reports the damage of Protegira songi(Chen & Zhang,1995),a pest on a medicinal plant Eucommia ulmoides Oliver in Shandong Province.Through field collection,indoor feeding,observation and anatomical identification,the larva,pupa,adult,and biological characteristics of this pest were described in detail,along with the DNA barcode sequence of the pest;a green and effective control measure was proposed.This study provides basic data and technical support for the monitoring and control of P.songi.
