Determination of Seedling Morphology of Germplasm Resources of Quercus acutissima and Quercus variabilis

Abstract：In order to better protect and develop the seeds of Quercus acutissima and Quercus variabilis,excellent seed sources of the two species were selected,and the differences in seedling growth characteristics of different seed sources were studied,which provides a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of high-quality seeds of Q.acutissima and Q.variabilis.In this experiment,the seeds of Q.acutissima and Q.variabilis were used as materials,the seed morphology was analyzed,and the one-way analysis of variance method was used to compare showed the thousand-grain weight and phenotypic characteristics of the seedlings of Q.acutissima and Q.variabilis.The results showed that there were significant differences in the growth characteristics of seedlings from different sources of Q.acutissima and Q.variabilis,with a large coefficient of variation,providing a reference for the selection of excellent germplasm resources of Q.acutissima and Q.variabilis.There were differences in the thousand-grain seed weight and phenotypic characteristics of seeds from the same region,which lays a foundation for the further protection and development of germplasm resources of Q.acutissima and Q.variabilis.
