A Study on High Chip Budding of Five Magnoliaceae plants
Abstract：In early April,an experiment of high chip budding was conducted on five Magnoliaceae plants such as magnolia denudate,Magnolia grandiflora et al.,with different-part buds of scions.Experimental data showed that this budding was very suitable for magnolia denudate,Magnolia grandiflora,Magnolia cylindrica Wils.and Magnolia soulangeana Soul.,and,as for survival rate of grafting,upper buds middle buds lower buds.However,high chip budding was not applied to Michelia figo because of its small survival rate of grafting.
