Traffic Safety Evaluation of Main Highway in Mountain Area Based on Matter Element Analysis

Abstract：Combined with the selection principle of traffic safety evaluation method and the road traffic characteristics of trunk highway in mountain region, the traffic safety evaluation model of the mountainous area highway is built based on the analysis of the possibility and severity by means of the matter-element analysis and evaluation method.The application example verifies the operability and science of the analysis model, which provides the theoretical basis and technical support for improving the traffic conditions of mountain trunk highways and eliminating the black spots of accidents and increasing the operational level of traffic safety.
