Abstract:Taking a small-sized diesel engine with high speed as an example, numerical models of combustion with different mesh sizes are established, the effects of the combustion simulation with different mesh sizes are compared and studied by using chemical kinetic combustion models, and at the same time the effects of three turbulence models on the combustion calculation are studied by using the mid-sized mesh size models with the standard k–ε,ζ–f and RSM-SSG models. The research shows that there are no obvious effects of mesh size and turbulence models on the macroscopic parameters and there are clear differences in the microcosmic parameters for the spatial distribution of CO and C2 H4 obtained by three different mesh size calculations, indicating that the finer the meshes are, the bigger the incomplete combustion products gather around the flame center of the front fuel spray, while there are similar spatial distribution patterns of CO and C2 H4 calculated by three different turbulence models, with a certain differences in the temporal and spatial distributions of concentration.
