Research on Cold Regeneration Technology of Old Asphalt Pavement Materials with Lime-Fly Ash

Abstract：In this paper, the cold regeneration technology of old asphalt pavement materials with two ashes ( lime and fly ash) as stabilizers is studied. The optimal water content of cold recycled mixture and the maximum dry density are determined through compaction tests. Also, the recommended mixture proportion is given based on the tests of the unconfined compressive strength of cold recycled mixture. Furthermore, the splitting strength and compression rebound modulus of selected specimens are examined to analyze the increasing law of the cold recycled mixture strength. The test results show that the two ashes as stabilizers of old asphalt pavement materials have the good strength, which can meet the strength requirements of road semi-rigid base materials.
