Study on Method of Trip Generation Forecast Based on Activity

Abstract：The base of solving traffic problems is the trip generation forecast, which is based on the activity-based approach in four-step methods. Taking household as travel unit, this paper analyzes the types of travel chains of household members and household units and establishes a trip generation forecast model. The paper establishes the MNL model of household activity travel chain selection based on the model parameters, which are divided into household nature, activity types and travel features, and then inspects logistic functions by means of SPSS. It shows that the activity-based approach of trip generation forecast can be used in practical application of the four-step methods.
