Fatigue Life Analysis of Certain Drive Axle Housing

Abstract：Based on the modal analysis theory and the occurred fatigue damage of certain axle housing , the finite element model and virtual prototype model are established in the environment of Adams software to make the fatigue life simulation analysis of the axle housing .The research result shows that the axle housing structure meets the requirements of stiffness and strength and within certain frequency range , the fatigue damage and life of axle housing are similar in the condition of the same load but different frequency , which meets the requirements of the life design .Besides , the fatigue life and damage can be analyzed by the prediction of hypermesh , which has guiding significance for the optimization and improvement of axle housing .
