Abstract:The tile end(Wadang)of the Qin and Han dynasties were renowned for their diverse themes and exquisite decorative patterns, which provided significant cultural and aesthetic value for contemporary design research. The methods such as literature review and inductive analysis to classify these tile patterns were applied in this study to analyze and compare their decorative language and ar-tistic characteristics across different themes, organizational structures and configurations.Combining historical documents with archaeological evidence, the inherent symbolism and meanings of these pat-terns were deciphered.Subsequently,an innovative redesign of the patterns was conducted and ap-plied them to modern women's apparel design. This application offered a novel approach for the in-heritance and development of traditional Qin and Han tile pattern art in modern design contexts.
