Abstract:Spring Morning in the Han Palace by Qiu Ying in the Ming Dynasty carefully detailed court women's daily life in a delicate manner against the backdrop of spring morning in the palace, and contained rich historical, cultural, lifestyle, and clothing features. The study first described the specific appearance of court women in the painting through pre-iconographic,including the clothing styles and diverse activity scenes of women from different classes. On this basis,a visual analysis was conducted from the aspects of the hierarchical symbolism of clothing form, spatial narrative of compo-sition layout, and symbolic meaning of action posture, revealing the creative logic of the painter con-structing the collective image of dignified and virtuous court women through programmatic visual lan-guage.Finally,based on the painter's personal experience and the social environment in which he lived,a visual interpretation was provided to clarify the imagination of the literati group towards ideal palace life hidden in female images.
