Abstract：This article focused on the integration and application of Miao ethnic costume elements in the design of short drama costumes.Through the analysis of the artistic features of Miao ethnic costumes,including their types,colors,techniques and patterns,innovative redesign was carried out by means of deconstruction and recombination as well as extension and recreation of these elements,and then applied to the current popular short drama costume design.The research enriched the design elements of short drama costumes,deepened the audience's understanding of ethnic culture,enhanced cultural confidence and identity,and also contributed to the inheritance,innovation and sustainable development of Miao ethnic costume culture to a certain extent.
