Research on Body Shape Characteristics and Clothing Specifications of Elderly Women in Xi'an Area

Abstract：This study focuses on elderly women in the Xi'an area,and mainly uses factor analy-sis,rapid clustering methods,and other methods to classify their body shape characteristics.It is found that middle-aged and elderly women generally have smaller chest and waist differences,and D body shape,which is not included in the national standard,is added to further subdivide this special body shape of elderly women.And based on the correlation between different body types and different control parts,as well as the influence of different heights on different control parts,a series of rele-vant reference means are obtained in order to provide more accurate data reference for the production of clothing for middle-aged and elderly women in the later stage.
