Abstract:In environments characterized by extreme high temperatures, enhancing the thermal in-sulation properties of fabrics is a pivotal measure for safeguarding personnel safety. In this study,we utilized acrylic resin and waterborne polyurethane as adhesives to uniformly disperse silica(SiO2)and aerogel powder within the coating. The experimental results indicate that the hydrophilic properties of the coated fabric are enhanced following the addition of water-based additives, while its superior breathability is preserved. Moreover, the flame retardancy of coated fabrics can be substantially en-hanced through the incorporation of flame retardants.During the high-temperature thermal insulation test, the front side of the fabric coated with SiO2 aerogel microspheres was heated to 90℃,and the temperature differential between the front and back sides reached 15℃.This result signifies that the coating possesses outstanding high-temperature thermal insulation capabilities.
