Pigment Extraction from Natural Grape Peel and Orange Peel and Overdyeing Cotton Fabric

Abstract：The experiment was conducted using grape peel extract and orange peel extract to study the effect of time,temperature,and liquor ratio on the apparent color depth(K/S value)of cotton fabric when treated individually with grape peel dyeing solution and orange peel dyeing solution.And the optimal experimental time,temperature,and bath ratio were selected for the overdyeing experi-ment of grape peel dyeing solution and orange peel dyeing solution.The experimental results indicated that sequentially useing orange peel dyeing solution with a relative concentration of 60%,100%grape peel dyeing solution,and 60%orange peel dyeing solution for cross dyeing was the optimal process for overdyeing.
