Abstract：This paper explored the design of knitting clothing from the perspective of semiotics,discussed the concept of semiotics,the use and characteristics of symbols in knitted garments.The paper elaborately analyzed the modeling symbol,color and pattern symbol,material symbol and process symbol to correctly apply the semiotics to research symbolic expression form and significance of knitting clothing design,and provided references for knitting clothing design.
