Digital Design Methods of Garment Based on Mass Customization

Abstract：Digital becomes the main motive force which promotes the apparel manufacturing industry development in the 21st century.The apparel digital design is the basic and core of apparel digital manufacture.In this paper, mass customization was taken as the breakthrough point, definition of apparel digital design was described, and three aspects of parameterized design based on apparel characteristic, reverse engineering and rapid prototype design, distributed collaborative and web interactive design were discussed on digital design methods of garment.
