Study on UV Resistant Finishing of Cotton Fabrics by Nano-Titanium Dioxide
Abstract：Nano-titanium dioxide was prepared by Sol-gel method, and ultraviolet resistance on cotton fabric was carried out with the TiO2 sol. The effect of the concentration of finishing solution, liquor ratio, liquor retention, the types and quantity of surfactant were discussed in this experiment. The UV-resistance property, SEM and breaking strength of the fabric were determinated. The results show that functional finish on cotton fabric is feasible by means of sol technique at low temperature, The fabrics treated with the finishing agent had excellent UV resistant property.
