Comparison of the Morphological Structure of Mustelinae Hairs
Abstract：The longitudinal and cross-sectional morphological characteristics and medullary cavity of Mustelinae hairs were observed and analyzed by using scanning electron microscope（SEM）.The experimental results show that the three Mustelinae hairs have circular or oval shaped cross-section basically and obvious medullary cavity structure;the scale patterns are mainly finger-like structure,bud structure,undulating structure and petal-like structure.The morphological structure is the main reason of the high thermal isolation and lightweight for Mustelinae hairs,and also provide potential perspective for fiber bionic and application.
