Effects of Evidence-based Nursing Program based on Need Satisfaction Theory on Patients with Oral Cancer

Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of evidence-based nursing program based on need satisfaction theory on health habits,men-tal state and postoperative training compliance of patients with oral cancer.Methods:A total of 198 patients with oral cancer admitted from July 1,2022 to July 1,2023 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number ta-ble method,with 99 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing care,and the observation group was provided evi-dence-based nursing program based on the need satisfaction theory.The oral cleanliness,mental toughness(CD-RISC),self-care ability(ESCA)and compliance were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results:After the intervention,the degree Ⅲof oral cleanliness and treatment compliance in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The CD-RISC and ESCA scores of the two groups were higher after intervention than those before intervention(P<0.01),and those of the observation group were higher than the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:The evidence-based nursing program based on the need satisfaction theory can help patients with oral cancer to form good oral health habits and improve their psychological resilience and postoperative training compliance.
