Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on fear-avoidance theory in patients undergoing radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods:A total of 80 patients who underwent radical resection of colorectal cancer from June 1,2023 to June 30,2024 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 40 cases in each group. The observation group was given nursing in-tervention based on fear-avoidance theory, and the control group was only given routine nursing care. The pain beliefs(FABQ-CHI),disease activation(Chinese version of PAM 13),quality of life(Chinese version of FACT-C),postoperative recovery time, complications and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results:After intervention, the FABQ-CHI score of the obser-vation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).The recovery time of each index in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.01).After intervention, the PAM 13 and FACT-C scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.01).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Nursing intervention based on fearing-avoidance theory for patients undergoing radical resection of colorectal cancer can reduce pain beliefs, accelerate postoperative recovery, promote patients to ac-tively cope with the disease, improve the quality of life, reduce the occurrence of complications and improve nursing satisfaction.
