Abstract:Objective:To explore the applicarion effect of mind map in guiding injection of insulin in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods:A total of 84 diabetic patients who were treated with insulin injection from June 1,2022 to August 31,2023 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 42 cases in each group. The routine guidance was given to the patients in the control group, and the mind map guidance was applied in the study group. The satisfaction, blood glucose, comfort level(GCQ),self-management ability(SD-SCA),knowledge of injection of insulin, and the occurrence of subcutaneous hemorrhage and pain were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results:The total satisfaction in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After in-tervention,the fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).After the intervention, the scores of blood glucose detection, exercise, general diet, special diet, foot care, and medication in SDSCA and the scores of psychology, social and environmental area, physiology and spirit in GCQ in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01).The knowledge of injection of insulin in the study group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of subcutaneous hemorrhage and pain in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:The application of mind map in guiding injection of insulin in diabetic patients has a significant effect, which can improve patients' satisfaction and mastery of injection knowledge of insulin, improve their self-management ability and comfort, reduce the incidence of subcutaneous hemorrhage and relieve pain of the patients.
