Survey on Service Demand for Enhanced CT Examination in Elderly Patients

Abstract:Objective:To provide support for optimizing the examination process,improving the medical experience and satisfaction of patients by investigating the service demand of elderly patients with enhanced CT examination.Methods:A self-designed questionnaire and self-administered survey method were used to randomly select 150 elderly patients who underwent enhanced CT examination from October 1st to November 30,2023.The general information,examination environment requirements,quality requirements of medical staff,needs for enhanced CT examination related knowledge,and psychological service needs were investigated.Results:The demand rates were more than 90%,the demand rates from high to low were skilled medical staff(94.52%),thoughtful service of medical staff,responses to patient's questions(93.84%),precautions before and during examination(91.10%),quiet and clean environment of waiting and examination room,infusion for enhanced CT examination and risks(90.41%).The lowest demand rate was communication with other patients(49.32%).The residential area had an impact on the service demand of enhanced CT examination in elderly patients(P<0.01).Conclusion:The residen-tial areas have some impact on service demand for enhanced CT examination and it is different from usual medical technology and service level,which is related to the higher medical level and service the residents received in urban areas.Medical staff is required to improve their skills and knowledge of their work and service provided,in order to explain the purpose,process and precautions of enhanced CT ex-amination to patients.
