Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of all-round nursing care based on symptom dynamic model theory on adverse reactions and self-care ability in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma undergoing chemotherapy. Methods:A total of 80 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated with chemotherapy from June 1 to October 31,2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the random num-ber table method, they were divided into the intervention group and the control group with 40 cases in each group. The control group re-ceived routine nursing care, while the intervention group received all-round nursing intervention based on symptom dynamic model theory. The intervention period in both groups was 6 months. The self-care ability using Exercise of Self-care Agency Scale(ESCA),mental state using Chinese version of Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),cancer-related fatigue using Brief Fatigue Inventory(BFI)and hope level using Herth Hope Index(HHI),quality of life using Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)before and after intervention, compliance after intervention and the occurrence of adverse reactions dur-ing intervention were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the scores of ESCA、CD-RISC、HHI and SF-36 scores in the two groups were higher than those before intervention(P<0.05),and those in the intervention group were higher than the control group(P<0.01).The scores of HAMA,HAMD and BFI in the two groups were lower after intervention than those before intervention(P<0.05),and those in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).During the intervention, the incidence of adverse events in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total compliance rate in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The all-round nursing care based on symptom dynamic model theory can improve the psychological state and cancer-related fatigue of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma undergoing chemotherapy, improve self-care ability and hope level, reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, and improve compliance and quality of life of the patients.
