Application of Solution-focused Group Intervention from the Perspective of Expressive Art in Hospitalized Patients with Schizophrenia

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of solution-focused group intervention from the perspective of expressive art in hospitalized patients with schizophrenia.Methods:A total of 96 patients with schizophrenia admitted from May 1,2021 to May 31,2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into the art group and the control group,with 48 cases in each group.The routine high-quality nursing care was conducted in the control group,and the solution-focused group intervention from the perspective of expressive art was carried out in the art group.The scores of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Self-consciousness Scale(SCS)were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results:After the intervention,the art group had significantly lower scores of positive symptoms,negative symptoms,and general psychopathology symptoms of the PANSS than the control group(P<0.01).After intervention,the HAMD and HAMA scores in the two groups were lower than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the scores in the art group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).The scores of private self-consciousness,public self-consciousness and total score of SCS in the art group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The solution-focused group intervention from the per-spective of expressive art can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients with schizophrenia,improve the degree of anxiety and depression and their self-consciousness.
