The Application of the Joint Decision-making Model between Doctors,Nurses,and Patients in Thyroid Cancer Surgery Patients

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of the joint decision-making model between doctors,nurses and patients in pa-tients undergoing thyroid cancer surgery.Methods:A total of 158 patients who underwent thyroid cancer surgery from January 1,2022 to A-pril 1,2023 were randomly divided into control group and study group with 79 cases in each group.The control group received routine nurs-ing intervention,while the study group received a joint decision-making model between doctors,nurses and patients.The scores of self-rat-ing anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),general self-efficacy scale(GSES),simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ),health belief scale,Chinese version of functional assessment of chronic illness therapy-general(FACT-G),and nursing satisfac-tion were compared before and after intervention between two groups.Results:After intervention,the SAS and SDS scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the study group has lower scores than the control group(P<0.01).After interven-tion,the GSES scores of both groups were higher than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the scores of study group was higher than those of the control group(P<0.01).After intervention,the positive coping scores of SCSQ in both groups were higher than those before in-tervention(P<0.05),negative coping scores were lower than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the study group was better than the control group(P<0.01).After intervention,both groups had higher health beliefs and FACT-G scores than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the scores of the study group was higher than those of the control group(P<0.01).The nursing satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying the joint decision-making model between doctors,nurses and pa-tients to patients undergoing thyroid cancer surgery can effectively alleviate their negative emotions,improve their self-efficacy,encourage patients to actively respond to the disease,and improve their health beliefs,quality of life,and nursing satisfaction.
