Analysis of the Current Status of Health Management of Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy and Its Influencing Factors

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the status of health management in patients with diabetes retinopathy and explore its influencing factors.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method,from March 1 to June 30,2022,we selected patients with diabetes retinopathy who were hospitalized in the ophthalmic clinics of two tertiary hospitals in Jinan,Shandong Province.We used the general information question-naire,diabetes patients′ simplified self-management knowledge,attitude and behavior scale(KAB),self-efficacy for diabetes scale(SED)and Morisky medication adherence scale-8(MMAS-8)to investigate.Results:The KAB score of patients with diabetes retinopathy was 64.76(59.04,71.07),the SED score was 6.25(5.46,7.00),and the MMAS-8 score was(5.24±1.49).The results of multiple linear re-gression analysis showed that education level,course of diabetes,self-efficacy and medication compliance were the influencing factors of KAB scores in patients with diabetes retinopathy.The course of diabetes,the burden of medical expenses and drug compliance were the in-fluencing factors of SED score.Occupation and education level are the influencing factors of medication adherence in diabetes retinopathy patients.Conclusion:Self-management,self-efficacy and medication adherence of diabetic retinopathy patients were at the lower-middle lev-el.Literacy,disease duration,degree of medical cost burden,and occupation were the main influencing factors for health management.To improve the health management ability of patients with diabetes retinopathy in the future,targeted intervention measures should be taken according to the differences of influencing factors.
