Effect of Intervention Nursing Based on Staged Change Theory in Patients with Lung Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of intervention nursing based on the theory of stage change in lung cancer patients.Methods:A total of 92 patients with lung cancer admitted in Zhongshan Municipal People′s Hospital from January 1,2022 to January 31,2023 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group with 46 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing intervention,and the observation group was given intervention nursing based on the theory of stage change.Both groups were nursed for 2 months.The negative emotions,compliance behavior,self-efficacy,quality of life(before and after intervention),and nursing satisfac-tion)were compared between the two groups.Results:After the intervention,the negative emotions and quality of life scores were lower than those before intervention(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the total compliance and satisfaction rates in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the inter-vention,the scores of self-efficacy were higher in both groups than those before intervention(P<0.05),and higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of intervention nursing based on the theory of stage change in pa-tients with lung cancer can help them to improve their negative emotions promote their compliance behavior,improve their self-efficiency,improve their quality of life and enhance their nursing satisfaction.
