Application of Discharge Preparation Service Intervention Based on Patient-family Self-management Theory and Transitional Period Theory in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Uterine Fibroid Surgery

Abstract：Objective:To explore the application effect of discharge preparation service intervention based on patient-family self-manage-ment theory and transitional period theory on patients undergoing laparoscopic uterine fibroid surgery.Methods:A total of 116 patients who underwent laparoscopic uterine fibroid surgery in the hospital from July 1,2020 to July 31,2022 were recruited as the subjects and were di-vided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 58 cases in each group.The con-trol group received routine nursing intervention while the observation group was given discharge preparation service intervention based on patient-family self-management theory and transitional period theory.Both groups of patients were intervened for 1 month.The differences in scores of Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale(RHDS),Chinese version of Appraisal of Self-care Agency Scale-Revised(ASAS-R-C)and European Quality of Life 5-dimensions(EQ-5D-5L),and the recurrence rate of uterine fi-broids at 6 months after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results:There were significant differences in the scores of PSSS,ASAS-R-C and EQ-5D-5L between the two groups(P<0.05),and the scores were increased with time,and the scores of PSSS,ASAS-R-C and EQ-5D-5L in observation group before discharge and at 1 month of intervention were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of dimensions and total score of RHDS in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate of uterine fibroids between the two groups at 6 months after surgery(P>0.05).Conclu-sion:Discharge preparation service intervention based on patient-family self-management theory and transitional period theory can promote the patients with laparoscopic uterine fibroid surgery to understand social support,the self-care ability,and quality of life,ensure good dis-charge readiness.
