Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of ADOPT nursing model combined with group intervention in patients with nasal pharyngeal cancer. Methods:A total of 80 patients with nasal pharyngeal cancer admitted during January 1 to June 30,2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine care intervention for nasal pharyngeal cancer, and the observation group was given ADOPT care model combined with group intervention. The Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),the Psychological Recovery Scale, the Self-care Ability Scale(ESCA),the EORTC QLQ-C30,the distance between the incisors and the degree of difficulty in opening the mouth, the com-pliance of mouth opening function exercises, and the Numerical Pain Rating Scale(NRS)scores at different times were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results:After intervention, the SDS and SAS scores were lower in both groups than those be-fore nursing(P<0.05),and lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.01).After intervention, the Psychological recovery scores,ESCA scores and QLQ-C30 scores were higher in both groups than those before intervention(P<0.05),and higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).The distance between incisors was larger in the observation group than that in the control group(P<0.01).The degree of difficulty in opening the mouth and the compliance in opening mouth exercises were better in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The NRS scores 10 times,20 times and after the completion of radiotherapy were lower in both groups than those before intervention(P<0.05).The NRS scores of 20 times radiotherapy and after the completion of radiotherapy were lower than those 10 times(P<0.05).The NRS scores 10 times,20 times and after the completion of radio-therapy were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:ADOPT nursing model combined with group intervention in patients with nasal pharyngeal cancer can improve their bad mental moods and the distance between incisors and the degree of difficulty in opening the mouth, reduce the degree of pain, improve their compliance of opening mouth exercises,self-management ability and quality of life.
