Application of Music Therapy Combined with Aerobic Exercise in Improving the Sleep Quality of Chemotherapy Patients after Radical Mastectomy

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of music therapy combined with aerobic exercise in improving the sleep quality of patients with chemotherapy after radical mastectomy.Methods:A total of 90 patients with breast cancer after radical mastectomy were ran-domly divided into the study group and the control group (45 cases each).The control group was used routine nursing ,and the study group was applied the comprehensive nursing of music therapy combined with aerobic exercise.The application of Pittsburgh sleep quality index ( PSQI) scale is to evaluate the total score of sleep quality of two groups at different period after the end of chemotherapy and the score of each factor.Results:12 d after the surgery,90 breast cancer patients′sleep quality score was (10.18 ±3.05),and was significantly higher than the national norm(P<0.05).Among them,85 had sleep problems,63 had poor subjective sleep quality,41 had difficulty falling asleep, 50 had sleep disorders ,52 had sleep less than 6 h,and 54 had daytime dysfunction.At the end of the first ,the sixth,the eighth chemotherapy cycle,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups of PSQI scores (P<0.05).Conclusion:Active and effective music therapy combined with aerobic exercise can improve sleep quality and improve life quality of patients after radical mastectomy.
