Application of the Concept of Fast Track Surgery in Elderly Patients with Laparoscopic Appendectomy
Abstract：Objective:To explore the application of fast track surgery( FTS) concept in elderly patients with laparoscopic appendectomy. Methods:A total of 112 elderly patients with laparoscopic appendectomy were randomly divided into the control group and the FTS group, 56 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care,and the FTS group was given FTS nursing on the basis of the con-trol group. The nursing effect of two groups was compared. Results:There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0. 05)in the time of leaving the bed,anal exhaust time,postoperative eating time,postoperative drainage time,hospitalization time,to-tal cost of treatment,postoperative incision conditions and satisfaction rate of discharge. Conclusion:The application of FTS in elderly pa-tients with laparoscopic appendectomy is better. It can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function as early as possible,remove drain-age tube earlier,accelerate incision healing,reduce complications and shorten hospitalization time.
