Effect of Home Care on the Adverse Reaction of Advanced Cancer Pain Caused by Large Dose of Strong Opioids

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of home care on the adverse reaction of advanced cancer pain caused by large dose of strong opioids .Methods:A total of 60 patients with advanced cancer at home with large doses of strong opioid dose ( oral morphine equivalent dose 300 mg/d and above ) as the research object were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given the routine nursing intervention ,while the observation group was given home nursing intervention .The incidence of the adverse reactions of the two groups ,the awareness and cognition of two groups and their families ,the quality of life before and after the intervention were compared .Results:The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the cognition and coordination degree of the patients and their families in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and their quality of life scores were significantly bet-ter than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Home care is effective in reducing adverse reactions in patients with advanced cancer pain ,and can significantly improve the quality of life of patients .
