Application of the Trans-theoretical Model in the Health Education of Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of the trans-theoretical model ( TTM) in the health education of patients with rheumatoid ar-thritis(RA).Methods:A total of 104 patients with RA were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 52 ca-ses in each group .The control group received routine health education ,and the observation group received TTM health education on the ba-sis of this.The self-perceived burden,medication adherence and quality of life of two groups were compared .Results:At 1,2 and 3 months after the discharge ,the self-perceived burden and medication compliance in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group at 3 months after the discharge(P<0.05).Conclusion:TTM health education can effectively improve the self-perceived burden of RA patients,improve the compliance of medication ,and then improve the quality of life of the patients .
