Effect of Intensive Digestive Tract Nursing Intervention on Mechanical Ventilation in Patients with Severe Traumatic Brain Injury
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of intensive digestive tract nursing intervention on mechanical ventilation in patients with severe traumatic brain injury. Methods:A total of 120 cases with severe craniocerebral trauma underwent mechanical ventilation were ran -domly divided into the control group and the observation group with 60 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care, while the observation group was given intensive digestive tract nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. Two groups′me-chanical ventilation time,ICU hospitalization time, total hospitalization time, incidence of complications, and mortality rate and movement conditions were compared. Results:The observation group′s mechanical ventilation time,ICU hospitalization time, total hospitalization time and incidence of complications were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);after the treatment, the observation group′s Barthel Index(BI)and Fugl-Meyer assessment scores(FMA)were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclu-sion:Intensive digestive tract nursing intervention for severe craniocerebral trauma patients with mechanical ventilation can help shorten the time of hospitalization and the time of mechanical ventilation, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the prognosis of patients.
