Application of Group Social Skills Training in Patients with Chronic Schizophrenia

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of group social skills training on patients with chronic schizophrenia (CSZ).Methods:A total of 112 cases of CSZ patients in our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group ,56 cases in each group.The control group received routine drug treatment and care ,and the observation group adopted the group social skills training .The negative symptom scale(SANS),personal and social functioning scale (PSP),Montreal cognitive assessment scale (MoCA),quality of life scale(SQLS),compliance behavior questionnaire are to evaluate the nursing effect of two groups and treatment compliance ,and to make statistical comparison.Results:After the training,the SANS scores,SQLS scores,PSP scores and MoCA scores of the observation group were significantly different from those of the control group (P<0.05),and the compliance behavior of the observation group was signifi-cantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Group social skill training can effectively relieve the mental symptoms of CSZ patients ,improve their social function ,cognitive function and quality of life ,and improve their compliance behavior .
