Application of Cognitive Behavioral Intervention in Patients with Traumatic Optic Neuropathy

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of cognitive behavioral intervention in patients with traumatic optic neuropathy .Methods:A total of 84 cases of traumatic optic neuropathy patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 42 cases in each group .The control group received conventional nursing care ,while the observation group received nursing care based on cog-nitive behavioral intervention .The two groups′nursing and psychological state ,quality of life and self-care ability were compared .Results:After the nursing intervention,two groups′scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) were significantly lower than those before the treat-ment,and the observation group′s were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The scores of quality of life(SF-36) and self-care ability in the two groups were significantly higher than those before the nursing care ,and the scores of SF-36 and self-care a-bility in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:In patients with traumatic optic neuropathy ,the application of cognitive behavioral intervention can improve the psychological status of patients ,improve their quality of life and self-care ability.
