Influence of Nursing Follow-up Based on Behavior Change Integration Theory on Quality of Life in Patients with Hypertension

Abstract:Objective:To explore the influence of nursing follow-up based on behavior change integration theory on quality of life in patients with hypertension.Methods:A total of 150 patients with hypertension were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,75 cases in each group.The control group was given routine health education,and the observation group was followed up on the basis of behavior change integration theory.The intervention time was 6 months.The blood pressure changes,lifestyle changes and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Results:After the intervention,the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.01).The scores of blood pressure management ability,diet management ability,exercise management ability,medication management ability and complication management ability were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.01).The social,psychological,physiological,environmental,and quality of life scores were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion:Nursing follow-up based on behavior change integration theory can help hypertension patients to establish a healthy lifestyle,control blood pressure levels,and improve the quality of life.
