Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing Intervention in Improving the Quality of Life of Patients with Gouty Arthritis in Communities

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine nursing intervention in improving the quality of life of patients with gouty arthritis in communities.Methods:A total of 70 cases of community patients with gouty arthritis in communities were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 35 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional treatment and nursing intervention,while the observation group was implemented TCM nursing intervention on the basis of the control group.The efficiency rate of two groups were compared,and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),serum uric acid(UA),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),and the difference of the joint diameter were measured before and after intervention in the two groups.The quality of life(QOL),pain scores and the complications were assessed and recorded by the WHO quality of life scale(WHOQOL-BREF)and the pain visual analogue scale(VAS).Results:The intervention efficiency rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the observation group's ESR,UA,hs-CRP levels were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention the observation group's the circumference difference,and the VAS scores were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);after the intervention the observation group's WHOQOL-BREF total score and each item score were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine nursing intervention can significantly improve the levels of ESR,UA and hs-CRP in the patients with gouty arthritis in the community,reduce the difference of the joint diameter,pain degree,improve the quality of life and reduce the comlications.
